... and oh how we love to swim! Charlotte loves the water. We have been swimming twice a week and she is fearless. She loves going under the water.

Happy Easter!

It was a bitter sweet weekend. My grandma's (Dad's Mom) funeral was Friday. Of course it is always sad to say good bye, however, there were many laughs at the funeral. Everyone From her kids to grandchildren, told of funny memories of Grandma. Then on Saturday we had a beach party, which apparently Grandma wanted her family to do the day after her funeral. Not everyone could make it but those that did we had a blast! From walking the tide poles, swimming, kayaking to an Easter Egg Hunt, it was so fun to be around cousins, aunts and uncles.
Last but not least, Sunday we went to Etiwanda to celebrate Easter with long time Family friends. We went to church to hear Sister Natalie Kirtley report home from her mission, where she severed the lord for 18months. What a fun filled weeked! We hope everyone had a Happy Easter.

Colorado!

This weekend Charlotte and I went to visit my sister and her family in Longmont, Colorado, while Jared ran a relay race from Baker to Vegas. We had such a fun visit. It was so cute to watch cousin Ethan and Charlotte play. They are such buds. Ethan kept pointing at Charlotte and saying, "Pretty!" And Charlotte loved watching her Big cousin, whatever he was doing.
Jared survived his race, though he is sore he had fun playing with his friends in Vegas. And he even past up a girl in the race. He was really proud of himself.

Weekend events!

I am joining an in home Personal Training business with some friends and on Friday my fellow personal training buddy Jacqui and I decided to do a photo shoot for the website. Jared got sucked into taking the photos. We were mostly just messing around.

We walked up to this park by our house to have the "photo shoot." Charlotte of course came along in the baby backpack. We set her down so we could take the pics. She was happy go lucky and then all of the sudden we heard and saw her and the baby backpack tip over. We rushed over to get her out of the pack. Poor thing had dirt on her face. She was more scared then anything but if you look close you can see a little bruise on her left cheek. What a tough girl!

Saturday was such a beautiful day we up and went to the beach. Charlotte's first taste of sand.

After the beach we went to our friends for a BBQ and games. Thanks Myers we had fun!

Then of course we ended the weekend with lounging. There's nothing like bringing the futon mattress in the front room to lay on. Girlfriend (puppy) loves it!

So, Heidi has gone back to work and that leaves me plenty of time to hang out with Charlotte. We went on a little hike the other day to a park nearby. It was great our dog could run around and get its energy out and Charlotte could explore the grass. Here are some pictures from our day at the park.
